Tilt-in-Space (TIS): The TIS action has been developed to maximise support of the back, shoulder and hip angle of the individual throughout motion, it also offers a high leg extension and increased vertical lift position. Clever design made easy; when the chair is operated into a recline position the back angle to seat angle does not change ensuring maximum comfort and the reduction of shear; shear is caused by the skin being pulled in opposite directions. Tilt-in-Space is the most commonly prescribed chair mechanism and recommended by the Medical profession.
